It attaches to the saddle stirrup leathers and ensures that the airbag key-ball lanyard is correctly fastened. Far too many riders attach their airbags to the saddle rings, which is dangerous. The saddle rings are not designed to withstand such pressure and can detach, preventing the airbag from being activated.
