The Safe-on Junior stirrup is designed for tomorrow’s little champions!

For riders 40kg and under ONLY. If over this weight the Adult size is required.
The Safe-on Junior stirrup has the same characteristics as its big brother, the SAFE-ON.
Resized for children, it combines comfort, performance, and safety.
It integrates the shock-absorbing Flex-on safety system that is adapted to the young rider’s body. The single branch frame design will increase the comfort of our young riders.
Notwithstanding, its releasable arm will reduce the risk of injury by setting the foot free in the event of a fall. The arm can then be reset manually.
      • Please note that the Safe-on Junior must have at least 15kg of weight, (or the equivalent
in kinetic energy) acting on the outer arm in order to open it.
    • The Safe-on Junior is unlikely to open if the pony stands still when the rider falls; and will not open if the fall does not cause the rider’s weight to act on the outer arm of the
stirrup.
    • As with any safety equipment, Safety Stirrups can only reduce the risk of the foot getting
trapped in a fall, there is no design which can prevent it.

IMPORTANT: Weight limitations for Safety Arm

It is essential to use the correct safety arms according to the child’s weight to ensure the product works properly and provides the expected level of safety.

The Safe-On Junior, includes two types of safety arms:

• One for children weighing 20–29 kg, made with a softer density.
• One for children weighing 29–40 kg, made with a firmer density.

The safety arm ATTACHED to the stirrup when brand new in packaging is the soft density 20-29kg arm. A spare safety arm will be included with the stirrup, this is the firmer density 29-40kg arm.

If your child fits the 29-40kg weight category, you MUST swap the arm's over. An Allen key is included with the spare arm, please use this and watch the video link below on how to easily swap the safety arm of your stirrup. 

How to change the safety arm on your Flex On Safe On stirrups

The safety arms on both the Safe-On and Safe-On Junior are wear parts. They must be checked regularly and replaced when necessary to guarantee the correct functioning of the product.
